Election Day 2004

I seriously think that I could vote twice this year. Here's why:

I transferred my old registration from my previous address, and I also said 'Yes' when asked if I wanted to register to vote as I updated my driver's license after I moved this year. I was sent 2 different voter registration cards to the same address, with my same name. One has an identification number indicating it was new in 1996, the other 2004.

This morning, I voted using the 1996 registration. I saw the book at the precinct, and both of my registrations are there. I think if I went back tonight, a completely different crew would likely be working. If questioned, I could always say the other registration is my Dad. And the signature would be a spot-on match.

I would like to emphasize that I am not planning on manipulating the voting process. I would like to point out, however, that the system has some kinks, highlighted by unique voter issues.

Some cool election sites:

http://www.7-eleven.com/7-Election/
(I would like to point out that the 7-Eleven poll is crap. To be accurate, it would need to allow for unlimited inventory of either the Bush or Kerry cup. In addition, at 5am, I doubt someone purchasing coffee is making a decision of which cup to use their priority.)

Good on you for not committing voter fraud. They don't call it "The Land of Lincoln" because of our stove pipe hats.

Also, did you SEE the results of the 7-eleven poll? IT WAS DEAD ON ACCURATE!

That is Vox Populi, my man.
